Meet The Team

Dr. Hyunseo Lee, DDS

Dr. Hyunseo Lee was born in Urbana-Champaign, Illinois but was raised in Ormond Beach for the majority of her life. She attended Spruce Creek High School and then received her bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience and Behavior from Barnard College in New York City. She returned to Florida to obtain her D.M.D. degree from the University of Florida College of Dentistry in 2022. Dr. Lee then pursued post-graduate training at the Mountain Area Health Education Center in Asheville, NC for her one-year general practice residency.

During her free-time, Dr. Lee enjoys making gouache paintings, cooking/baking, golfing, and reading. Although she is a Floridian, she is a mountain person at heart and will never pass up the opportunity to go on a hike for amazing views.

Dr. Lee is thrilled to return to Ormond Beach and to join Dr. Dean’s wonderful, patient-centered practice and is looking forward to becoming a part of the team. She is humbled to be entrusted with the opportunity to address your dental needs and strives to provide only the best care.

Practice Administrator

I attended Everest University in Jacksonville and have been working in dentistry for over nine years now. During my time at school I became student ambassador. I have EFDA certification, as well as certifications in CPR and radiology. What I enjoy most about my role at Dr. Dean’s practice is getting to make a positive difference for each patient’s smile. 

I’m originally from Long Island NY which makes me a huge NY Rangers fan. Outside of work you’ll find me spending time with my family. We enjoy going the beach and finding new places to eat at Flagler beach. But my favorite downtime is cheering on my son at his T-ball games.

Treatment Plan Coordinator

I am an Ormond native. I began my career in dentistry in 2003 following my graduation from Seabreeze High School. I have worked in several offices specializing in esthetics, periodontics and orthodontics. In 2014 I became an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant so while you may see me at the front desk, I also assist from time to time.

I enjoy working with patients of all ages, but my true passion is pediatrics. I love educating children and providing a safe, fun dental experience. I want to set them up for a lifetime of healthy dental habits and I believe that starts with the experience and care they receive at our office. I have been with Dr. Dean since July of 2020 and am so happy to be a part of this incredible, caring team!

I am a mom of 3 young boys and have been married to my husband for 8 years. We have a zoo at home with 3 cats and 2 dogs, but enjoy our crazy, busy life. When I’m not working you can find me enjoying time with my family and friends at the beach, park or anything outdoors. 

Johanna

Office Manager

Johanna joined Dr. Dean's team on September 2013. She is the first person you will see when you walk through the doors of our office. She loves the 
opportunity to greet every patient when they arrive and say good-bye before they leave. Johanna has been in the dental field for over 10 years and 
enjoys every aspect of dentistry. She loves helping people and getting to know our patients. Johanna is a native New Yorker who enjoys baking, 
spending time with her family and her lovable Great Pyrenees. 

Stephanie

Registered Dental Hygienist

I graduated from Santa Fe Community College in Gainseville, Florida and  have been practicing dental hygiene for more than 24 years, including 2  separate occasions that I lived and worked in Switzerland. Last year (January 2019)  I received my license to administer local anesthetic from the University of Florida. 

I am dedicated to delivering honest and thorough dentistry  to each and every patient I see. I am comfortable working with patients of  all ages and believe strongly in the importance of teaching children good  dental habits from an early age. I have been employed at this office for 15 years and have worked specifically for Dr. Dean since she bought the  practice in 2007. Our office has all of the latest technology and Dr. Dean  allows the time I need to treat each patient efficiently and effectively. I  believe in education, for myself and my patients! 

Outside of the office I enjoy the great outdoors. Traveling  and running are two of my favorite things to do. I have a very close  relationship with my family and am a proud mom to a 10 year old Silkypoo named Bingo, who most of my patients know by name!

Natalie

Dental Assistant

Hello, my name is Natalie and I am an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant, (EFDA) and a CDA (Certified Dental Assistant). Let me tell you a bit about myself and my career in dentistry.

I am a Pittsburgh, Pa native and have been in the dental field since 1994.

My license as an EFDA permits me to perform additional technical functions and procedures as a dental assistant.  I am qualified to place both amalgam and composite fillings as well as fabricating temporary crowns.

I have both clinical experience as well as educational experience.  I was employed as a EFDA instructor in Pittsburgh at the Bradford School, where I educated post-secondary students.  After 10 years of employment with them, the school had decided to close altogether which left me with a decision to make.

So, I went back into the clinical field full time in Pennsylvania, but knowing I wanted a change.  I decided to take a leap of faith and move myself the state of Florida where I was looking for a complete change both personally and professionally.  Currently, I live in Daytona Beach and absolutely love it!

When I am not working, I love to spend time on the beach, enjoying the outdoors, and listening to music. I am an artist too. My media is mostly pencil and charcoals. I like to draw portraits as well as fabricating all types of cool items out of resin. 

I have truly found my new “dental” home here at the office with Dr. Dean and her amazing staff!  As well as the great sunny state of Florida!

Hi, I'm Leah! I am a Colorado native and moved here to Ormond Beach September 2022 with my husband just for a nice change of scenery.

Mitzy

Hi, I’m Mitzy I graduated from Hester School of Dental Assisting in 2018. I’ve been assisting for over 5 years and have my EFDA certificate as well as my CPR & Radiology. I love educating my patients on the importance of dental hygiene.  In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family. I absolutely love traveling with my friends and trying new places to eat.

Allie

Hi my name is Allie, I’ve lived back and forth between Ohio and Florida my entire life. My mom has been in the dental field for 27 years and I look forward to following her foot steps and expanding my knowledge in the dental field! I have a rescue pup named jellybean who I love like a child. I love to travel as much as possible and experience all that life has to offer. I also love going to concerts and rodeos!

On my very first day of internship in 2016, I knew  this office was the place for me. Before school even ended I was lucky  enough to become officially employed with Dr. Sara Dean. Every day is an exciting adventure working with Dr. Dean and our team. I couldn't imagine myself  serving a better community here in Ormond Beach. I strive to help patients feel  comfortable, educated and important as they should. On the days  I am not at work I enjoy playing with my puppy, Oliver, and spending time with my loved ones.
